An ordinance granting a franchise by the City of Durango, Colorado to La Plata Electric Association, Inc. For a term of 20 years, for the operation of an electrical utility within the city;
Granting the right to acquire, construct, and maintain facilities necessary to sell and distribute electricity within the city; granting a right to make reasonable use of city property and public right-of-way; authorizing a franchise fee of 4.67% calculated solely on charges for actual electrical consumption; the revenue from which is paid to the city's general fund; and declaring an effective date.
